We are all familiar with the concept of sowing and reaping but I often wonder if we limit the power of this spiritual law in our lives.
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” (Galatians 6:7).
We can accept its positive connotation when money is involved. We can believe that sowing money will reap more money. But typically, this is the scripture that comes to mind when something bad happens to someone. We can quickly think, “I wonder if that happened to them because they are reaping what they have sown?”
But this is the Word of God, that outcome alone is too basic for the powerful, effective Word of God. I propose to you today that whatever is lacking in your life, just sow it. For you it may be money. But there are other things, too. If you feel like you don’t have enough time to get things done, sow time into God. Set aside a set amount of time every day to spend with God. Volunteer at your church for a set day or time every week. I can tell you as someone who can feel overwhelmed by the clock, it works. Somehow, if I stop and put God first, He makes sure I get things done. But when I try to get all the other things done first so I can make time for God, I end up like a hamster on a wheel.
If you need more love in your life, then sow love. If it is friends, then show yourself friendly. If you need people to be more patient with you, then sow patience into others. If you need to be forgiven, first forgive others.
This is a divine law so it is very powerful. Let’s access that power and get rid of lack in our lives. If you feel like you don’t have love or patience to share, ask God to give you more love and patience so you can sow it. Divine mathematics is more complex than earthly mathematics. When you ask God for love and patience so you can sow it, you don’t get back just what you gave but somehow God touches it and you get back what you need in spades.
So today kick lack out of your life and decide that you will have an abundance of what you need through sowing and reaping!
